When should I arrive?
We recommend you arrive 10 minutes before your appointment time. If you are new, you should arrive 10 minutes before your appointment time to complete 1-2 page questionnaire.
What if I'm late?
If you're appointment is at 10am and you arrive at 10:10am, your appointment time must be reduced in order for the next client to have their allotted time. The charge will remain the same. New clients must complete their paperwork before beginning their appointment.
If my appointment is for one hour, how long will my massage last?
The massage appointment is for one hour. We must allow time for you to get settled to begin the massage and time for you to get dressed after the appointment, so most massages last for 50 minutes. Half hour massage appointments last for 20 minutes.
What if I have special medical conditions?
Please notify us before treatment. We want to make sure your treatment enhances your health.
What can I expect?
You will be asked to undress after the therapist leaves the room. You may leave your underwear on if you would like. Proper draping techniques are used at all times.
What should I wear?
You should wear what is most comfortable. You will be properly draped throughout the massage.
May I request a male or female therapist?
Yes, we have both male and female therapists.
May I request a specific therapist?
You may request a specific therapist. If, for some reason, that therapist is not available for your appointment, we will make an effort to notify you in advance.
Why am I encouraged to drink lots of water after my massage appointment?
Any form of massage moves around toxins in your body. We encourage you to drink water to flush out the toxins.
Where are you located?
We are located on Coffee Road across the street from Downey High School's student parking lot, located in the Muir Park Professional complex. Drive to the back and curve to the right and you will see our sign.
What is the difference between relaxing, therapeutic and deep tissue massage?
Relaxing massage is not a lot of pressure, mainly for stress relief, tension relief, and headaches. Therapeutic massage concentrates on certain areas of pain such as neck, shoulder and lower back and has more pressure than relaxing. Deep Tissue massage uses elbows and forearms to go deep into sore muscles.. Please note that there is a difference in price between relaxing, therapeutic, deep tissue, and sports massage. If you do not know which massage you want, ask the therapist to show you the different pressures. If you want a specific massage, please make sure you tell the therapist.
What is your cancellation policy?
As a courtesy to our staff, a 24-hour notice of cancellation is expected for all appointments. Messages can be left on the recorder after hours. For appointments made the same day, a 2 hour cancellation notice is required. For customers who commonly cancel or need to reschedule outside of these timeframes, except in emergencies, a $10 fee is assessed to their account for each hour scheduled, $5 for each half hour. We reserve the right to require customers to prepay for their appointments including the pre-payment policy listed below.
What if I fail to show up (no-show)?
Customers who no-show, will be asked to prepay for their next appointment at the time of booking. Sometimes, the history of a customer is not known at the time of the booking, so a call will be placed to that customer at a later time. Please see prepaid appointments for further details.
Why appointments must be prepaid and what is your policy on prepaid appointments?
For appointments valued at $100 or more, a prepayment is required at the time of booking. We accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover, gift certificates and gift cards. A 24-hour notice of cancellation is required for these appointments. Messages can be left on the recorder after hours. Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with 24-hours notice, will have a credit on file for the prepayments. Those cancelled or rescheduled within the 24-hour notice (but not less than 2 hours), will have a credit of 50% of payment prepaid. Late cancellations or reschedules and no-shows will have no credit of payment.
What is your tipping policy?
Tipping is encouraged. We work hard to meet the appropriate needs of our customers. 100% of your tips go to the staff you specify. Tips can be left in the room or given to the receptionist to leave for the staff in their tipping envelopes.
What is the Buddy Referral Program?
